1. D’shawn Jamison, Cornerback

Playing on every single side of the ball regularly throughout his first two years on campus, rising junior cornerback and former four-star recruit D’shawn Jamison is underrated for how exciting he is to watch. Jamison is one of the most electric weapons that Herman can use on more than just a single side of the ball.

This 5-foot-10 and 190 pound potent threat averages a whopping 16.9 yards per punt return during his two years on the Forty Acres. He also averaged just shy of 25 yards per kick return. Jamison has one kick return for a touchdown and one punt return for a touchdown in his limited time so far with Texas too.

The kick return for a touchdown came last season, when Jamison pretty much won the game for the Longhorns at home over the Kansas State Wildcats. And his punt return for a touchdown came during his true freshman campaign, also against Kansas State. Jamison really likes making Kansas State look bad in every phase of their special teams.

On defense last season, Jamison started to make a huge impact at the cornerback position. He registered 35 total tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions, three pass deflections, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery. Watch out for Jamison to continue to become one of the best defensive backs in the fold for Texas this coming season.
