One of the possible projected undrafted free agent signings out of the Texas football program, OG Parker Braun, could still have a decent NFL career.

The 2020 NFL Draft should see a better turnout from former players out of the Texas football program than it did last year. The 2020 draft class of Texas Exes is a bit deeper and a lot more talented on the offensive side of the ball and does have some potential from two defensive prospects.

And the focus here among the Texas Exes in this draft class turns to the offensive side of the ball, with former Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets graduate transfer All-ACC offensive guard Parker Braun. As the sole addition for Texas through the NCAA Transfer Portal last offseason, Braun did shore up the depth in the trenches to a certain degree.

Although Braun wasn’t as effective of an addition to the Texas offensive line last year as former Rice Owls offensive tackle graduate transfer Calvin Anderson did the prior season. But hitting the transfer portal is always a hit or miss process. There is never a guarantee that any addition out of the transfer portal is going to make a breakthrough immediate impact.

The 6-foot-3 and 300 pound guard Braun is likely to go undrafted this year, but there is always the possibility of some NFL team buying into what he brings to the table on the final day of the festivities. It is still important to understand which teams would be willing to take a flier out on Braun, whether it be in the later rounds in the draft or as an undrafted free agent signing.

Here’s a look into the three best landing spots for the former offensive guard out of the Texas Longhorns football program, Parker Braun, in the 2020 NFL Draft.
