A big get for the 2021 Texas football recruiting class could be just around the corner if 3-Star OLB Jaydon Williams commits to the Longhorns.

A target of the 2021 Texas football recruiting class that has mostly flown under the radar within the last year or two is also getting very close to his decision date to announce his commitment. Three-star 6-foot-1 and 195 pound South Oak Cliff outside linebacker Jaydon Williams is set to announce his commitment decision in around 10 days from now, and he recently dropped his latest round of finalist cuts on social media.

This underrated target of the Texas Longhorns football program and their 2021 recruiting class dropped his top six finalist schools on his Twitter timeline on April 20. The final six were pretty spread out among schools from the Big 12, in the state of Texas, and from the SEC.

The finalist schools for Williams included two out of the Big 12, two out of the SEC, one from the PAC-12, and one from the American Athletic Conference. The lone program out of the AAC is from Texas, and close to home for the Dallas, TX, native Williams.

The six finalists were as follows for Williams: SMU Mustangs, Ole Miss Rebels, Kansas Jayhawks, Mississippi State Bulldogs, Arizona State Sun Devils, and the Longhorns. And the decision date for Williams was also set from his Twitter timeline, back on April 13. His decision date is set for May 1.

There are nearly two dozen schools that Williams has on his lengthy offer sheet. Among those the he cut from this latest round of finalists includes the Arkansas Razorbacks, Colorado Buffaloes, Kansas State Wildcats, Tennessee Volunteers, and Texas Tech Red Raiders.

Williams originally received his offer from Texas back on April 8. He’s received offers from the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs (April 9), North Texas Mean Green (April 11), Wyoming Cowboys (April 11), and Arkansas (April 15), since he got his from Texas.

Moreover, Williams ranks as the nation’s No. 849 2021 high school prospect, No. 62 outside linebacker, and No. 117 prospect out of Texas. The 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions have each of five experts picking him to commit to Texas over the rest of the competition.

The Rivals FutureCast picks Texas in overwhelming fashion to get the pledge of Williams too.
