Former Longhorn wide receiver with track-level speed Marquise Goodwin is finding himself amid trade rumors with the San Francisco 49ers.

The trade rumors are already surfacing for the former Texas football speedy wide receiver, now playing for the San Francisco 49ers, Marquise Goodwin. One of the fastest skill position players, if not the fastest, to ever come out of the Texas Longhorns football program, Goodwin should be a rather hotly contested commodity if he truly is on the trade block in the NFL.

A big reason why Goodwin’s trade prospects could be a bit cooler than they would otherwise is the fact that he dealt with a lingering injury for much of the 2019 season. Goodwin only played in nine games with the 49ers last season, and he was held out of the entire of their lengthy playoff run all the way to the Super Bowl.

In the nine games that Goodwin played in with the 49ers last season, he registered 12 catches for 186 yards and one touchdown. Goodwin was also limited in a good portion of the nine games he played in last season. A good example of the body of work that Goodwin can bring to the table production-wise was his electric 2017 campaign.

When Goodwin was mostly healthy throughout the 2017 campaign, he registered 60 touches for just over 1,000 total yards and two scores. He posted a very solid approximate value rating of 8 in 2017. But there’s still those recent trade rumors that are generating for Goodwin in the Bay Area.

The 49ers are reportedly (CBS Sports) actively shopping Goodwin and apparently have come close to pulling off a trade already.

Here’s a look into the three best potential landing spots former Texas wide receiver Marquise Goodwin if the San Francisco 49ers are going to trade him this offseason.
