This list does go in order of the likely last pick out of the Big 12 in the first round comparatively to the first. But a name certainly worth following in the latter stages of the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft is former TCU defensive tackle Ross Blacklock. Declaring for the draft early, after the conclusion of his junior season, Blacklock is one of the more raw prospects coming out of the Big 12 in this class.

Blacklock only played two years under head coach Gary Patterson with the TCU program. The best season for the 6-foot-4 and 305 pound defensive line anchor did come during the 2019 campaign. He registered 40 total tackles, 9.0 tackles for loss, and 3.5 sacks during his final season in Fort Worth.

Most would project Blacklock out to be a late first round pick, or early second round, in the 2020 NFL Draft. He has a high ceiling but also might be one of the more volatile prospects in this class. He did show a decent level of improvement, coming close to doubling a lot of his overall stats from his freshman to junior season.

However, there is still a long way to go for Blacklock. At the NFL Combine, he ran a 4.90-second 40-yard dash time, had 107 inch broad jump, 4.67 shuttle time, 7.77 second 3-cone drill time, and 29.0 inch vertical leap. His combine numbers were solid, all things considered. That might give a late boost to his draft stock on night one.
