The first day of the 2020 NFL Draft has arrived and we could see former Texas football wide receiver John Burt getting a rookie deal somewhere soon.

The final name up on the list for the series of best landing spots in the 2020 NFL Draft out of the Texas football program is wide receiver John Burt. The fifth-year senior was on the Forty Acres for what seemed like forever. And that was largely because he was around for two different coaching regimes.

Burt was originally recruited by former Texas head coach Charlie Strong, but finished out his career under current head coach Tom Herman. But Burt didn’t contribute a whole lot for the Texas passing game over the last two years combined. Burt combined to rake in six receptions for 61 yards and one touchdowns in six games played in 2018 and 2019.

Over the course of his entire college career, Burt registered 63 catches for 896 yards and five touchdowns. His most productive season actually came when he was a freshman. More than half of his receiving yards and 40 percent of his touchdowns came back in 2015.

In all likelihood, unless some NFL team buys into the true track speed that Burt brings to the table, they’re not going to pick him up in the draft. Burt is very likely to be an undrafted free agent signing after the 2020 NFL Draft. But this list could still be a deeper dive into what the best potential landing spots would be best after the 2020 draft.

Here’s a look into the three best potential landing spots for the former wide receiver out of the Texas Longhorns football program John Burt either in or after the 2020 NFL Draft.
