Tommy Brockermeyer

Tommy Brockermeyer is the most likely of these 17 guys to end up at the University of Texas. Tommy’s dad, Blake, is a Longhorn legend. He started all 34 games he played in as a Longhorn and was an All-American in the 1994 season. Blake went on to be a first round pick in the 1995 draft carrying a successful nine year NFL career.

Tommy’s brother Luke is a current linebacker on the Longhorns. There is an obvious link between the Brockermeyer family and Texas, and losing out on Tommy and his twin brother James would be unforgivable by many Texas fans.

On December 4th, 2019, Tommy narrowed down his recruiting list to five schools: Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, LSU, and Texas.

Many see this recruiting battle as a two team race between the Tide and the Horns. Tommy has noted that Alabama is very intriguing with a coach like Nick Saban who has churned out National Championships and first-round offensive linemen like clockwork.

Currently on 247Sports Texas has four crystal ball predictions for Brockermeyer and Alabama has three. This will be a neck and neck race until the pen is put to paper, and should Texas lose out, it would be a tough pill to swallow.
