For the most part, which three former Texas football players are also often forgotten teammates of All-American quarterback Colt McCoy?

The lone remaining quarterback that was selected in the 2010 NFL Draft class that is still active in the league is also a product of the Texas football program Colt McCoy. Selected by the Cleveland Browns early in the 2010 draft, McCoy made a good NFL career for himself as a serviceable backup for a number of different teams. He just signed a one-year deal with the New York Giants to stick around in the NFC East. His last team prior to signing with the Giants was the Washington Redskins.

McCoy also spent one year of his decade-long NFL career with the San Francisco 49ers. Although, he has spent most of his career to date with the Redskins (five seasons).

Over the course of that decade-long run in the NFL, McCoy has played in 39 games, posting a record of 7-21 and an approximate value rating of 14. He just topped the 6,000 career passing yard mark and also has compiled 29 passing touchdowns compared to 27 interceptions.

The veteran presence and steady hand as a field general/game manager under center makes McCoy still worth a decent backup role in the NFL. He never produced at the same level in the NFL that he did in college under former Texas head coach Mack Brown.

In his four years playing on the Forty Acres, McCoy registered more than 13,000 passing yards, 112 passing touchdowns, and 45 interceptions. He is a two-time Walter Camp Player of the Year award winner, two-time First Team All-American, and took Texas all the way to the 2009 BCS National Championship Game.

McCoy had a very accomplished career with the Texas program. But which parts of his supporting casts with Texas in the late 2000’s were his biggest help, and the most forgotten?

Here’s a look back at the three players most would forget were teammates of McCoy in the late 2000’s with the Texas Longhorns football program.
