Going from potentially the most remembered name on this list among former McCoy teammates with the Longhorns to the actual most forgotten, we land on the former highly touted four-star recruit and 6-foot-2 and 210 pound safety Nolan Brewster. Slotting as a top 125 ranked 2008 high school prospect in the nation and a top 10 safety, the Denver, CO, native Brewster was a solid get for Brown and the Longhorns.

The 2008 recruiting class was very good for Texas in the defensive backfield. Texas signed the likes of safety Blake Gideon, and cornerbacks Aaron Williams and D.J. Monroe in the 2008 class. That along with Brewster did see a significant amount of contributions on the defensive side of the ball for the next three or four years.

From Brewster individually, the bulk of his production came during the first two seasons on the Forty Acres. In the 2008 and 2009 seasons, Brewster registered 29 total tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, one interception, and one pass deflection. And he did play in three games during his junior season, in 2011, where he registered just three total tackles.

Concussions wound up cutting the career of Brewster short. He would have to end his college career after his junior season, after playing in just three games. There were productive points for the ball hawking defensive back Brewster, who was a capable contributor on both special teams and in the secondary. But injuries were his ultimate detriment on the gridiron.
