Potential future Hall-of-Fame former Texas basketball power forward LaMarcus Aldridge had a stellar career in the NBA over more than the last dozen years.

Two of the very best players to come out of the Texas basketball program since the turn of the millennium are also two potential future Hall-of-Famers and bona fide stars in the NBA. Those two former Texas Longhorns are forwards LaMarcus Aldridge and Kevin Durant.

Up to this point, KD spent most of his NBA career with the Oklahoma City Thunder and Golden State Warriors. He currently plays for the Brooklyn Nets (although he hasn’t officially played in an NBA game with them yet due to a torn achilles recovery). Meanwhile, Aldridge spent all of his career either with the San Antonio Spurs or Portland Trail Blazers. He currently plays for the Spurs.

The latter of these two players (Aldridge) is not usually considered the best Texas Ex forward in the NBA in the modern day. That honors is usually bestowed upon KD. But Aldridge still has an NBA career that is inching closer and closer to the realm of Hall-of-Fame induction. Per Basketball-Reference, Aldridge currently has a 51.3 percent chance of getting inducted into the Hall-of-Fame once he’s eligible.

Considering Aldridge has seen so much regular season success with the two teams he’s played for in the NBA, it makes sense that he’s had a lot of superstar teammates. Between his years with the Trail Blazers and Spurs, he’s never won an NBA Championship but he’s made some deep runs into the playoffs.

If he gets a shot with another contender or the Spurs turn it around fast, he could still win a title before the end of his NBA career. But the clock is ticking down on that and the Spurs appear to be getting further away from contender status each passing year of late.

Nonetheless, here’s a look into the three best NBA teammates that the star Texas Ex forward had to date in his career.
