1. Texas Longhorns

There’s not 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions in from any of the experts yet in seeing where Turner will commit. And the Rivals FutureCast is also without a single analyst or publisher picking where Turner will give his pledge too. But the Longhorns should still have a leg up in the race to land a commitment from Turner.

Texas was one of the initial programs in on the recruitment of Turner. They did offer after competing Big 12 programs like the Kansas State Wildcats, Oklahoma Sooners, Oklahoma State Cowboys, and Baylor Bears, did but they were in the same month as Texas A&M. Texas and Texas A&M both offered Turner in June 2019.

They were also earlier to the party than most other Power Five programs.

Texas has also hosted Turner on more than three visits since the turn of the calendar year from 2018 to 2019. Since the Longhorns don’t have any commits from a edge rusher or defensive end prospect as highly touted as Turner, there is a lot of room for him to make an impact with this 2021 class.

According to the 247Sports Team Composite Rankings, the 2021 Longhorns class ranks at No. 17 in the nation and remains steady in the top spot in the Big 12 currently. They have 11 commits, with the highest ranked of them being five-star Denton-Ryan athlete Ja’Tavion Sanders. Adding Turner to the mix could help boost them back into the top 10 in the national class rankings.
