The first of the two commitments to look into here is the 6-foot-1 and 175 pound Dallas, TX, native and Kimball High School product Ibraheem. This highly touted cornerback held offers from more than 30 other schools including the Alabama Crimson Tide, Auburn Tigers, Georgia Bulldogs, LSU Tigers, Michigan Wolverines, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Oklahoma, Texas A&M Aggies, and USC Trojans.

Ibraheem ranks as the nation’s No. 171 2021 high school prospect, No. 13 cornerback, and No. 28 prospect out of Texas (247Sports Composite). And the sole 247Sports recruiting ranking holds Ibraheem out as the nation’s No. 240 high school prospect, No. 17 cornerback, and No. 38 prospect out of Texas.

The Rivals ranking for Ibraheem slots him as the nation’s No. 216 high school prospect, No. 18 cornerback, and No. 29 prospect out of Texas. The consensus for Ibraheem does hold him out as one of the top 200 or 250 prospects in the country for this cycle. He’s a very talented corner, with the raw talent to become one of the most potent players at his position in this class.

Ibraheem has good size and great ball skills. His height and length should give him the ability to contend with some of the more sizable outside receivers in the Big 12, given that Ash likes to put a lot of his cornerbacks out on an island in pass coverage. The tackling ability of Ibraheem does need to get better, but he’s solid at numerous different depths of coverage.

This is a huge get to add a lot of coverage skills to the Longhorns defensive backfield out of the 2021 class.
