Landing Omeire in the 2020 signing class gave the Longhorns a potential future possession receiver that can be a threat in the passing game on the outside. But the ceiling of Omeire could be limited if his agility and vertical ability doesn’t improve over his first year or two on the Forty Acres. This is where adding more depth among their more sizable wide receivers could help over the long run.

One of the most potent sizable wide receiver targets that the Longhorns have in the pipeline remaining uncommitted is a Mississippi native. Four-star Kosciusko 6-foot-4 and 205 pound wide receiver Antonio Harmon is one that may be getting away from Texas soon, but should be prioritized in the near future.

Harmon currently holds offers from less than a dozen schools. The highlights of the schools on his offer sheet includes the Ole Miss Rebels, Oregon Ducks, defending National Champion LSU Tigers, SMU Mustangs, Virginia Cavaliers, Mississippi State Bulldogs, and Georgia. He ranks as the nation’s No. 263 2021 high school prospect, No. 48 wide receiver, and No. 4 prospect out of Mississippi (247Sports Composite).

Wide receivers like rising junior standout Brennan Eagles won’t be around on the Forty Acres forever and Collin Johnson is already departed to the NFL. They have to fill that depth soon, but it appears that Harmon is already trending to Ole Miss. The 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions are giving the overwhelming lead to Ole Miss to land the commitment of Harmon over the rest of the field.
