The 2021 Texas football recruiting class could soon be closing in on a key underrated commitment from a three-star Florida native center.

After the loss of the highly coveted Brockermeyer brothers to the Alabama Crimson Tide last month, the 2021 Texas football recruiting class really had to start digging deep to find answers along the offensive line. And finding those answers starting with seeking out a quality center depth add to the 2021 recruiting class.

A target that is emerging of late for the Longhorns 2021 class in the trenches on the offensive side of the ball is rising three-star Bishop Kenny center Michael Myslinski. This 6-foot-2 and 285 pound Florida native really starting trending in the direction of the Longhorns of late. He received his Texas offer in the first place back on April 3, 2020.

He did have one unofficial visit with the Longhorns, which was partially held virtually with the coaching staff, last month. There is ample reason to believe that Texas is gaining a lot of momentum with Myslinski of late.

As of the afternoon of Aug. 5, the 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions started to trend heavily in favor of Texas to land the commitment of Myslinski over the rest of the field. And the Rivals FutureCast favors Texas to land Myslinski too, with every single one of their analysts and publishers picking him to land on the Forty Acres.

The Michigan State Spartans do hold one of the expert picks from the 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions, but they are down to a 10 percent chance in that prediction to land Myslinski. And Michigan State is one of more than two dozen schools to have offered Myslinski up to this point.

The other highlighting schools on his offer sheet includes the Iowa Hawkeyes, Arkansas Razorbacks, Duke Blue Devils, East Carolina Pirates, Florida State Seminoles, Louisville Cardinals, Maryland Terrapins, Mizzou Tigers, Oregon Ducks, South Florida Bulls, and Wake Forest Demon Deacons.

For a good while there, Myslinski looked like he was trending toward landing with the Hawkeyes. There is a relationship existing between his family and the Iowa coaching staff. But head coach Tom Herman and offensive line coach Herb Hand appear to be winning over his interests now.

Myslinski ranks as the nation’s No. 988 2021 high school prospect, No. 12 center, and No. 132 prospect out of Florida (247Sports Composite). He would be the 16th commit in the Longhorns 2021 class if he were to be the next to land on the Forty Acres for this cycle.
