1. Mason Rudolph

One of the most accomplished quarterbacks in the Big 12 individually over the course of the last five or six years is the former Oklahoma State Cowboys star quarterback Mason Rudolph. The former Oklahoma State quarterback-wide receiver duo of Rudolph and James Washington were also one of the best combinations in the Big 12 in the last decade.

It is important to see what the recently hired Texas offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich was able to do with Rudolph during his time in the same position with the Oklahoma State coaching staff. Rudolph was Yurcich’s quarterback recruit, and he really helped that former four-star recruit and South Carolina native rise to the point of stardom on the national scene.

Rudolph got to face the Longhorns on three different occasions, and it really was a roller coaster ride for both sides. Head coach Mike Gundy and the Pokes came out on top on all three occasions with Rudolph as his starting quarterback, but his individual production wasn’t all that impressive by his usual standard.

In his three outings against Texas, Rudolph registered 964 passing yards, four passing touchdowns, two interceptions, and a whopping -44 rushing yards. Whenever Rudolph faced the Longhorns at Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, he really struggled. The two games he had against Texas with less than 300 passing yards came in Austin, and he tallied up one passing touchdown and two interceptions.
