1) Possible Texas basketball last-minute transfer additions: Braun Hartfield

The Longhorns could use someone that is going to be healthy and ready to go (hence immediately eligible) if they really want to land a player that is going to make an early impact. In terms of proven production that the Longhorns could get out of the transfer portal at this point of the offseason, there’s very few names left available.

But one solid find that Texas could try and pursue at this point in time is the former San Diego Toreros and Youngstown State Penguins 6-foot-6 and 185 pound guard Braun Hartfield. This would be the third school that Hartfield played at in his college career, but he brings a plethora of experience and two-way skill to the table.

Hartfield played in nearly 100 games in his college career, between his time with San Diego and Youngstown State, to date (with 72 career starts). He’s averaged 11.9 points per game, 4.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.2 steals, and 0.6 blocks. Hartfield shot 43.3 percent from the field, 33.3 percent from beyond the arc, and 64.9 percent from the free-throw line.

If Texas wants an experienced two-way wing that they can turn to at any point when injuries, or poor performance, starts to pile up then Hartfield could be the perfect player to turn to. The rising senior has had his fair share of ups and downs in his three seasons playing college hoops to date. But this is one decent target still in the portal if Texas wants to look his way.
