Which Texas football transfers still have yet to debut

Jordan Pouncey, Florida WR

The SEC gets their 2020 season underway this coming weekend, on Sep. 26. With that, former Texas wide receiver and three-star recruit Jordan Pouncey could get to make his season debut with the Florida Gators. Pouncey landed in Gainesville out of the transfer portal during the 2020 offseason to play with his brother (and four-star cornerback recruit Ethan Pouncey) at Florida.

Donovan Duvernay, Northwestern State CB

One of the less followed former Longhorns to enter the transfer portal last offseason was the brother of star wide receiver Devin Duvernay, and redshirt senior cornerback Donovan Duvernay. The 5-foot-9 DB and former three-star athlete recruit landed with the FCS Northwestern State Demons, who appear to be practicing right now but don’t have any set start date for a possible 2020 season as of yet.

D’Andre Christmas-Giles, FIU DT

One of the bigger names to appear from the defensive side of the ball in recent memory in the transfer portal from the Longhorns is the senior Florida International Panthers defensive tackle D’Andre Christmas-Giles. FIU is set to open up their 2020 season on Sep. 26 against the Liberty Flames on the road, which will be the first shot for Christmas-Giles to make an impact.

Greg Kelley, Eastern Michigan S

The wrongly convicted former Texas defensive back commit Greg Kelley wound up landing with the Eastern Michigan Eagles heading into their 2020 season. But there’s no set schedule yet for Eastern Michigan to possibly play in a 2020 season.
