Big 12 Football: 5 best 2021 NFL Draft prospects post-Week 4
Big 12 Football prospects for the 2021 NFL Draft
3. Chuba Hubbard, Oklahoma State RB
There’s no more talented running back in the Big 12 this fall, as it pertains to the 2021 NFL Draft class, than Oklahoma State redshirt junior star Chuba Hubbard. The “Canadian Cowboy” is not off to the same start this fall, though, that he was last year in the first two games of the regular season.
The 6-foot and 208 pound Hubbard is averaging a career-low four yards per carry through two games thus far. But his overall stat line still isn’t too shabby. He’s registered 194 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns on just shy of 49 attempts through two games. Most of those rushing yards came in this weekend’s Oklahoma State win over West Virginia.
Projected draft round: 2-3
2. Samuel Cosmi, Texas OT
The final two spots on this list for Big 12 prospects in the 2021 NFL Draft class are both offensive linemen. This class along the offensive line coming out of the Big 12 for the 2021 draft could be really special. The Big 12 should at least see two first round picks at minimum in the trenches for the 2021 draft.
The first of the two Big 12 offensive linemen that falls in the top two slots is standout redshirt junior Texas offensive tackle Samuel Cosmi. This sizable 6-foot-7 and 310 pound lineman Cosmi got off to a good start in run and pass blocking in the Longhorns season opening win over the UTEP Miners, but he slipped up a bit against Texas Tech this weekend.
Cosmi had the first penalty of the season called against him in the narrow win over Texas Tech. He had one of the lower run blocking grades of his career against Tech, but he was mostly still steady in pass blocking for Ehlinger.
