Big 12 Football prospects for the 2021 NFL Draft

1. Creed Humphrey, Oklahoma C

By far the biggest upset of the weekend not just in the Big 12, but around the entire country, was second-year head coach Chris Klieman watching his Kansas State squad upset No. 3 ranked Oklahoma for the second straight year. It just appears that Klieman has Riley’s number at this point. The former North Dakota State Bison head coach has defeated Riley in each of his two tries during his time in Manhattan.

One of the biggest flaws for Oklahoma’s performance in the upset 38-35 loss at the hands of the stingy Wildcats in Norman on Sep. 26 was the play of the offensive line. Talented redshirt freshman quarterback and former five-star recruit Spencer Rattler was often sent running for his life out of the pocket. He was hit once and pressured an additional three times.

It was really only the elusiveness of Rattler that kept him from getting sacked multiple times.

The Oklahoma ground game also wasn’t allowed to work at peak efficiency since the offensive line was inconsistent and kept getting penalties called against them. About the lone positive for the Oklahoma offensive line consistently in the loss to Kansas State was the 6-foot-5 and 320 pound junior center Creed Humphrey.

Humphrey is the highest graded offensive lineman from the Sooners through two games this season. He has yet to allow a single quarterback pressure, hit, or sack to date this season. His run blocking could use a bit of a bump in the coming weeks. But this top tier center prospect in the 2021 NFL Draft class is posting career-highs in pass blocking grades through two games this season.
