2) Bold predictions for Texas football vs. TCU: Roschon Johnson combines for 175 yards and two scores

Where Texas could really take advantage of a TCU defense that can look vulnerable at times is on the ground. Texas had a good showing at various points of the season so far from their three top running backs. Even Ehlinger was efficient on the ground in the Longhorns win over Texas Tech, with more than 70 rushing yards and one rushing score.

Junior running back Keaontay Ingram has more than 100 rushing yards on the season so far, and is averaging around 6.5 yards per carry. But he has yet to get a single touchdown, in the rushing or receiving game. Freshman Bijan Robinson is largely in the same boat as Ingram, as he is averaging well over five yards per carry (with 70 total yards). But he doesn’t have any rushing or receiving touchdowns as of yet.

All of the rushing touchdowns so far this season have either gone to Ehlinger or sophomore running back and former converted dual-threat quarterback Roschon Johnson. He has 82 rushing yards on 24 carries, with two rushing touchdowns so far. That is only good for slightly over three yards per carry.

Roschon was good in the red zone, and on third downs, in the first two games. But his overall efficiency and versatility isn’t up to par with how good he could be this fall. Expect this to be a potential breakout game for Roschon. Seeing what Iowa State standout running back Breece Hall did to the TCU front seven (more than 150 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns), this could be a big day for Johnson.
