2) Landing spots for Texas football CB Kenyatta Watson II: Arkansas

Two teams that are in very different places right now are the Longhorns and Arkansas Razorbacks. Texas is trying to make the most out of their current coaching staff at hand, led by Herman and Co. Meanwhile, Arkansas is trying to build off some real momentum with new head coach Sam Pittman, after upsetting the No. 16 ranked Mississippi State Bulldogs on the road last weekend.

But if there’s one area that the Razorbacks showed that they needed to improve over the course of the last few years under former head coach Chad Morris on the defensive side of the ball, it was with the secondary depth. Arkansas usually ran into depth problems in the secondary under Morris’ direction. They have looked much better over the last two weeks in a win over Mississippi State and loss to the Georgia Bulldogs.

Arkansas should still see how they can build out the secondary from here. A good potential target that could be in mind from Pittman and his coaching staff in the transfer portal now is Watson II. Arkansas offered Watson coming out of high school, and they were one of the SEC programs earlier to pursuing him.

Pittman is helping the Hogs improve on the recruiting trail, but they could still use some help in the secondary. Watson II might be able to help knock out two birds with one stone for Arkansas if he were to land in Fayetteville. He could make an immediate impact for their pass defense and help build the foundation for a successful future under Pittman.
