1) Bold predictions for Texas football vs. OU: Keondre Coburn and Ta’Quon Graham combine for 3 sacks

The pass rush for the Longhorns through the first three weeks of the season was spotty at best. They didn’t get much pressure at all against UTEP and Texas Tech in their first two games. And the pressure was a bit more dialed up on TCU redshirt sophomore quarterback Max Duggan, but it still wasn’t all that effective.

There are only three sacks that the Longhorns have in total on the season. Freshman defensive lineman Alfred Collins, sophomore linebacker Marcus Tillman Jr., and junior standout linebacker Joseph Ossai are the only three that have sacks thus far. But some other players in the front seven for the Longhorns are still doing their best to blow up plays in the backfield.

Other defensive players like junior linebacker DeMarvion Overshown (three tackles for loss), redshirt sophomore defensive tackle Keondre Coburn (two tackles for loss), and senior defensive end Ta’Quon Graham (2.5 tackles for loss). Coburn and Graham are two names to watch in particular for the Longhorns along the defensive line.

Texas really needs to get the pass rush going to upend the Sooners on Saturday afternoon. They need to get Oklahoma redshirt freshman quarterback Spencer Rattler moving as much as they can. He can get phased easily when under pressure. But even when Rattler gets rushed, the Texas secondary has to be ready since he averages more yards per passing attempt under pressure than he does in a clean pocket so far this season.
