There were a few former Texas football transfers out of the program that were in action in the FBS in Week 6, and a few still waiting to debut.

While the results for the Texas football program itself wasn’t all that good in Week 6 of the 2020 college football season, there were former transfers away from the team that stood out with other squads. Over the weekend, we saw a number of ranked teams upended by unranked opponents or upset by lower ranked teams than themselves.

A few of the more notable upsets included the No. 4 ranked Florida Gators falling short against the No. 21 Texas A&M Aggies and the defending National Champion and No. 17 ranked LSU Tigers losing to the unranked Mizzou Tigers. Previously No. 22 ranked Texas also fell short at the hands of the unranked and two-loss Oklahoma Sooners in a crazy Red River Rivalry game at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas back on Oct. 10.

The loss for the Longhorns to the rival Sooners hurt, as it came by the final score of 53-45 in four overtimes. Texas and Oklahoma each had trouble locking down the win. There was another big comeback late in the fourth quarter for senior star quarterback Sam Ehlinger and the Longhorns to tie the game and push it into overtime.

But how did former Longhorns fair elsewhere that might not be getting as much attention as this team on the Forty Acres that sits in a lot of turmoil heading into the bye week. There were multiple former Longhorn transfers that were in action around the country in Week 6. Also a few former Longhorn transfers were on a bye, but we haven’t updated in a few weeks either.

Here’s a look at how former Longhorn transfers fared around the college football landscape in Week 6.
