1) Problematic Bears for Texas football: Trestan Ebner

There’s a number of ways that I could go with this final pick of potentially problematic Baylor players for the Longhorns this weekend, at least among the skill position weapons. But with so many departures from the 2019 Baylor squad among the skill positions (namely running back and wide receiver), the decision becomes a bit more difficult.

The two skill position weapons of Baylor to watch this weekend for the Longhorns should be senior wide receiver RJ Sneed (99 receiving yards and one touchdown on the season) and senior running back Trestan Ebner. But my final decision will be the versatile 5-foot-11 and 210 pound rusher Ebner.

So far this season, Ebner is one of the all-purpose yard leaders for Baylor. He’s registered 115 total yards from scrimmage (45 rushing yards, 70 receiving yards) and two total touchdowns. Ebner is one of the more proven skill position weapons in recent memory for Baylor. He has more than 1,800 career total yards from scrimmage and 14 total touchdowns.

Moreover, Ebner averages more than five yards per carry and roughly 13.0 yards per catch in his four years playing for Baylor so far. Ebner also just doesn’t make many mistakes (no career penalties called against him), and is one of the best blockers among Baylor’s skill position players. He is the highest graded pass and run blocker in the last year and a half among the Baylor running backs.
