2) Next up for 2021 Texas football recruiting class

The next sizable potential possession receiver target for the Longhorns 2021 class appears to be in store. Since Texas doesn’t have a single blue chip commit at the wide receiver position in their 2021 recruiting class at this point in time, landing a pledge from the highly touted four-star Kosciusko wideout Antonio Harmon.

This lengthy 6-foot-4 and 205 pound product hailing out of Kosciusko, MS, is starting to see a lot of favor with the Longhorns. Harmon is being recruited by wide receivers coach Andre Coleman from the Longhorns staff. And he’s making a lot of headway of late with what would be the Longhorns highest rated wide receiver commit.

The 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions are starting to trend more to the Longhorns of late over the likes of head coach Lane Kiffin and the Ole Miss Rebels.

Ole Miss appeared to be the leader to land a commitment from Harmon throughout most of his recruitment heading into the 2020 college football season. But Texas did catch a wave of momentum in pursuit of his pledge of late.

Harmon currently holds offers from just 11 schools. The other highlighting schools on his offer sheet includes the Mississippi State Bulldogs, Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss, Oregon Ducks, SMU, and Virginia Cavaliers. But Texas is actually the most recent offer that Harmon received, coming back on June 3, 2020.

What Texas would be getting out of Harmon is the nation’s No. 282 2021 high school prospect, No. 49 wide receiver, and No. 5 prospect out of Mississippi (247Sports Composite). And the Top247 ranks him as the No. 82 wide receiver and No. 8 prospect out of Mississippi.
