3) Best from 2017 Texas football recruiting class

It was a really difficult decision to figure out who belongs in the third and final spot on this list of which of the players from the Longhorns 2017 recruiting class turned out to make the best impact. In the end, the final spot went to the former highly touted four-star recruit and senior standout defensive end Ta’Quon Graham.

This ex-four-star weak-side defensive end recruit coming out of Temple High School in Temple, TX, picked Texas over offers from more than 20 other schools. Graham ranked as the nation’s No. 204 2017 high school prospect, No. 15 weak-side defensive end, and No. 34 prospect out of Texas (247Sports Composite). And the Top247 ranked him as the nation’s No. 214 high school prospect, No. 15 weak-side defensive end, and No. 29 prospect out of Texas.

Graham was actually the third highest-ranked signee in the Longhorns 2017 class.

In Graham’s four years playing for Texas up to this point, he’s consistently improved season-after-season. In seven games played so far this season, Graham registered 21 combined tackles (11 solo and 10 assisted), seven tackles for loss, two sacks, and one fumble recovery.

That now brings Graham up to 68 career combined tackles (40 solo and 28 assisted), 21.5 tackles for loss, six sacks, one pass breakup, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery. The 2020 campaign is set to be Graham’s best and most productive with the pace he’s on now. He is one of the biggest forces for Texas in their front seven this fall.
