Arkansas

One particular team that both sent Ingram a scholarship offer when he was coming out of Carthage High School during the 2018 recruiting cycle, and needs running back help heading into next offseason, is the Arkansas Razorbacks. Arkansas was another program that jumped onto the pursuit of Ingram pretty early on during his recruitment.

And the positional coach that pursued Ingram at Arkansas during his recruitment is still there. Fifth-year Arkansas running backs coach Reggie Mitchell has an established track record of success both in developing talent, and on the recruiting trail, so that should appeal to Ingram to some degree.

Arkansas already lost the likes of the former “Last Chance U” running back product and senior stud Rakeem Boyd, who opted out for the rest of the 2020 season to prepare for next year’s NFL Draft. They are now left with redshirt senior T.J. Hammonds (who could also be on his way out of Fayetteville heading into next offseason) and redshirt junior former transfer Trelon Smith.

There won’t be many other SEC teams that will need help at the running back position more next offseason than the Razorbacks. Ingram brings that proven experience to the table and the Razorbacks might be more willing to get help from the transfer portal starting next offseason under the direction of first-year head coach Sam Pittman.
