A recent decommit from the 2021 Texas football recruiting class, 3-Star C Michael Myslinski, could be headed to land with Michigan State.

A key part of the offensive line portion of the 2021 Texas football recruiting wound up getting away from head coach Tom Herman and offensive line coach/co-offensive coordinator Herb Hand just ahead of the Early Signing Period. Texas lost a commitment from under-the-radar three-star Bishop Kenny center Michael Myslinski back on Dec. 11.

That came less than four months after Myslinski originally gave his commitment to the Longhorns, back on Aug. 6. After Myslinski re-opened his recruitment a couple of weeks ago, that left the Longhorns with just two commits along the offensive line signed down in their 2021 class.

Texas also didn’t do anything to add depth in the trenches via high school/JUCO prospects, or even the NCAA Transfer Portal, during the Early Signing Period last week.

So where is Myslinski headed after re-opening his recruitment 10 days ago?

It doesn’t look like Texas has a good shot at getting the the 6-foot-2 and 285 pound Florida native back in their 2021 recruiting class ahead of National Signing Day. Myslinski currently holds offers from Texas and more than 25 other schools. The other highlighting schools on his offer sheet includes the Michigan State Spartans, Arkansas Razorbacks, Coastal Carolina Chanticleers, Duke Blue Devils, Florida State Seminoles, Iowa Hawkeyes, Mizzou Tigers, Oregon Ducks, Virginia Tech Hokies, Wake Forest Demon Deacons, and Louisville Cardinals.

The 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions has Myslinski trending to land with Michigan State of late. The expert predictions do still have a few outdated slots to the Longhorns, but it looks like the commitment of Myslinski could be going Sparty’s way when it’s all said and done.

What Texas missed out on when they lost the commitment from Myslinski is the nation’s No. 1,071 2021 high school prospect, No. 14 center, and No. 139 prospect out of Florida (247Sports Composite). And the Top247 ranks him as the No. 13 center and No. 107 prospect out of Florida.

According to the 247Sports Team Composite Rankings, the 2021 Texas recruiting class ranks at No. 17 in the nation, and remains in the second spot in the Big 12 behind the Oklahoma Sooners. Meanwhile, Michigan State’s 2021 class ranks at No. 40 in the nation, and in the ninth spot in the Big Ten.
