Texas Football: 3 most underrated 2021 Horns signees
1) Most underrated 2021 Texas football signees
There looks to be a clear set of the most underrated skill position signees in the Longhorns 2021 recruiting class, post-National Signing Day. Among the wide receivers, the most underrated signee could very well turn out to be the former UTSA Roadrunners commit and three-star Rudder product Keithron Lee.
The most underrated skill position signee overall could either fall between Lee and the four-star Hallettsville running back Jonathon Brooks.
But since Lee doesn’t fall in line as a true blue chip commit/signee, he gets the nod for the final spot on this list. This ultra-elusive and unheralded 5-foot-10 and 175 pound product hailing out of Bryan, TX, was one of the late additions to the 2021 Texas class that came along around the time of the Early Signing Period.
Lee wound up committing and signing with Texas over offers from nearly 30 other schools. Considering he is a three-star wideout prospect that ranked outside of the top 500 in the entire country, the fact he held that many offers is impressive. And the other highlighting schools on his offer sheet included the Air Force Falcons, Arizona State Sun Devils, Baylor, Duke Blue Devils, Indiana Hoosiers, Ole Miss, Pitt Panthers, SMU Mustangs, TCU Horned Frogs, Tennessee Volunteers, Texas Tech, Utah Utes, and Washington Huskies.
Moreover, Lee ranks as the nation’s No. 519 2021 high school prospect, No. 77 wide receiver, and No. 78 prospect out of Texas (247Sports Composite). And the Top247 ranks him as the No. 96 wide receiver and No. 98 prospect out of Texas.
