3) Next 2022 Texas football commit after Evan Stewart

Turning the attention to the defensive side of the ball for the Longhorns 2022 class, boosting the defensive line could be a key task at hand in the near future for Sark and new defensive coordinator Pete Kwiatkowski. That’s why targeting the fast rising three-star North Shore 6-foot-3 and 265 pound defensive tackle Kristopher Ross could come in handy.

Texas currently holds a duo of commitments on the defensive side of the ball in their 2022 class. Those two commits include the recently added inside linebacker Johnson and the talented four-star Memorial cornerback Jaylon Guilbeau. Ross could be a nice underrated addition as the Longhorns third commit in the 2022 class that plays on this side of the ball.

This defensive lineman hailing out of Houston, TX, is starting to get a lot of traction with top tier college programs on the recruiting trail of late. The expert 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions have all five picks favoring Ross to give his commitment to the likes of Sark, Kwiatkowski, and the Longhorns over the rest of the competition.

The Rivals FutureCast also has all of their analysts and publishers picking the commitment of Ross to go to Texas over the rest of the field.

Ross is scheduled for a March 23 decision date, so if he is the next commit up for the Longhorns 2022 class it would be a decently long wait compared to the results brought forward this month.

Moreover, Ross is currently unranked in both the 247Sports Composite and Top247. But Rivals ranks him as the No. 26 defensive tackle and No. 51 prospect out of Texas.

Some of the other highlighting schools on Ross’ offer sheet (among the dozen that have offered him so far) includes the USC Trojans, Oklahoma Sooners, LSU Tigers, Baylor Bears, Arizona State Sun Devils, Ole Miss Rebels, and SMU Mustangs.
