1) Important 2022 Texas football visitors

Head coach Dabo Swinney and the defending ACC Champion Clemson Tigers are doing their very best to establish and new and valuable pipeline in the state of Texas during the 2022 recruiting cycle. The state of Texas is obviously fruitful in high school football talent, and Clemson is making waves here of late.

Clemson landed a huge commitment from a former Texas target and the highly coveted four-star Westlake pro-style quarterback Cade Klubnik earlier in the week.

Moreover, one key Texas native that Clemson is trying to win over at this point in time is the talented four-star Spearman athlete/wide receiver Brenen Thompson. This speedy and elusive 5-foot-10 and 165 pound product hailing out of Spearman, TX, now holds offers from a whopping three dozen schools as of the morning of March 6.

Texas has an offer standing with Thompson for more than three months now, which should carry some weight with this important 2022 target. But some of the other highlighting schools on his offer sheet are the LSU Tigers, Alabama Crimsons Tide, Auburn Tigers, Clemson, Florida Gators, Florida State Seminoles, Georgia Bulldogs, Michigan Wolverines, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Oklahoma, Oregon Ducks, Stanford Cardinal, Tennessee Volunteers, Texas A&M Aggies, and USC Trojans.

Moreover, Thompson ranks as the nation’s No. 73 2022 high school prospect, No. 8 athlete, and No. 13 prospect out of Texas (247Sports Composite). And the Top247 ranks him as the nation’s No. 166 high school prospect, No. 12 athlete, and No. 27 prospect out of Texas.

It is this weekend that both Texas A&M and Texas are supposed to have Thompson visiting in-person in College Station and Austin, respectively.
