Texas Football: 3 sophomores ready to breakout in spring camp

Prince Dorbah, Defensive End/Edge Rusher
It will be really interesting to see what new defensive coordinator Pete Kwiatkowski plans to do with the former talented four-star recruit and second-year defensive end/edge rusher Prince Dorbah. As one of the more highly touted signees in the Longhorns 2020 recruiting class, there are still high hopes on the Forty Acres for what Dorbah can do moving forward.
There’s not a whole lot of depth returning for the Longhorns in the trenches this year off of last season’s team. They lose the likes of senior defensive end Ta’Quon Graham and star junior outside linebacker/edge rusher Joseph Ossai to the NFL Draft. And Texas recently experienced a depth loss in the trenches in the form of senior defensive lineman Marqez Bimage entering the NCAA Transfer Portal.
While other Longhorns along the defensive line like freshman defensive tackle Alfred Collins and even fellow highly touted freshman Vernon Broughton got a good bit of playing time last fall, Dorbah really did not. He only played in three snaps in the Longhorns season opening win over UTEP, registering one total tackle.
Dorbah was a big part of the Longhorns 2020 class, and is a lightning quick rusher off the edge. Coming out of Highland Park High School in Dallas, TX, during the 2020 cycle, Dorbah ranked as the nation’s No. 127 2020 high school prospect, No. 7 outside linebacker, and No. 17 prospect out of Texas (247Sports Composite).
