3) 2022 prospects Sark can flip this offseason: Landon Hullaby

Maybe the most surprising commitment to get away from the Longhorns 2022 class thus far, especially since Sark was hired as head coach back on Jan. 2, was the brother of a current player on the roster. The brother of second-year linebacker Jaden Hullaby announced his commmitment to head coach Mario Cristobal and the Ducks late last month.

Back on Feb. 20, Texas found out it wouldn’t be getting the commitment of talented 6-foot and 185 pound Mansfield Timberview four-star safety Landon Hullaby. Jaden’s brother Landon wound up picking Oregon over offers from more than 25 other schools.

Some of the other notable schools that sent Hullaby an offer included Auburn, the Baylor Bears, Michigan, Nebraska, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Oklahoma State Cowboys, Ole Miss Rebels, TCU Horned Frogs, Tennessee, Texas Tech Red Raiders, USC, and Utah Utes.

Hullaby looked like he could join the highly coveted four-star Aledo safety Bryan Allen Jr. as one of the commits at this position group in the Longhorns 2022 class. Yet, that didn’t wind up coming to fruition. But that doesn’t mean the commitment of Hullaby is lost for good on the Forty Acres.

Moreover, Hullaby ranks as the nation’s No. 329 2022 high school prospect, No. 20 safety, and No. 43 prospect out of Texas (247Sports Composite). And the Top247 ranks him as the No. 23 safety and No. 62 prospect out of Texas.
