2022 prospects getting away from Sark No. 3: Harold Perkins

A prospect that was also worth prioritizing for the Longhorns 2022 class, the elite five-star Cy Park 6-foot-3 and 200 pound outside linebacker Harold Perkins, looks to be very much getting away from Sark and the Longhorns new coaching staff of late. This Houston-area product looks to be trending more to the Longhorns in-state rival on the recruiting trail Texas A&M Aggies and head coach Jimbo Fisher as we move deeper into the offseason.

Both of the expert 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions have Perkins giving his commitment to the Aggies over the Longhorns and the rest of the competition when it’s all said and done. But there wasn’t much confidence in both of those Crystal Ball Predictions going to Texas A&M.

And the Rivals FutureCast does have all of their analysts and publishers picking Perkins to give his pledge to Texas A&M over the rest of the field.

Texas and Texas A&M are two of more than 30 schools that have offered Perkins as of the afternoon of March 27. Some of the other notable schools that have offered him thus far include the Crimson Tide, Auburn Tigers, Georgia Bulldogs, LSU Tigers, Miami Hurricanes, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Oklahoma State Cowboys, Oklahoma, Oregon Ducks, TCU Horned Frogs, and USC Trojans.

Moreover, Perkins ranks as the nation’s No. 14 2022 high school prospect, top overall outside linebacker, and No. 4 prospect out of Texas (247Sports Composite). And the Top247 ranks him as the nation’s No. 18 high school prospect, top overall outside linebacker, and No. 4 prospect out of Texas.

Texas A&M also currently has a key official visit scheduled for early June with Perkins, which is a task that Sark and the Longhorns should get on immediately.
