Tampa Bay Buccaneers

There might not be a single more exciting team for Ossai to land with in this year’s draft, if he were to go in the first round, than with the reigning Super Bowl Champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Legendary future Hall-of-Fame quarterback Tom Brady is coming back for at least one more year, as are most of the staple pieces of the Bucs defense.

It was the Bucs defense that actually came up huge for them in their Super Bowl win over former Texas Tech Red Raiders superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. Throughout the latter portion of the 2020 season, and all through the playoffs, the Bucs defense came up big when it mattered most.

The Bucs also need to get younger at the edge rusher spot, with veterans Jason Pierre-Paul and Ndamukong Suh filling their spots at defensive end at the moment. They also have the former LSU Tiger Devin White filling a spot at edge rusher.

There’s a good opportunity for the Bucs to get Ossai in the first or second round of the draft and develop him alongside standout linebackers Lavonte David and Shaq Barrett. Ossai might be that final piece to the puzzle that the Bucs are looking for to keep this defense going for a long time after the days of Brady and future Hall-of-Fame tight end Rob Gronkowski are passed.
