Texas Football: 3 best NFL Draft landing spots for Sam Cosmi
Green Bay Packers
As one of the best regular season teams last year in the NFL, the Green Bay Packers looked prime to make another Super Bowl run. But the Packers would wind up falling flat in the NFC Championship Game against the eventual Super Bowl Champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers by just a five-point margin.
The 2020 MVP award winner and future Hall-of-Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers could use some help added along the offensive line this offseason. The Packers had a largely inconsistent offensive line in front of Rodgers in the past three years. They actually did a pretty good job keeping Rodgers upright last season, as he was sacked just 20 times during the regular season.
But the Packers do have a need to add depth at the offensive tackle position. Especially at right tackle, the Packers are very thin at this point in time. If he can stay healthy in 2021, then projected starting left tackle and three-time Pro Bowl selection David Bakhtiari will be a solid staple for this Pakcers offense in the trenches.
At the right tackle position, the Packers are pretty thin with Billy Turner as the projected starter. The career journeyman Turner did have likely his best season in the NFL last year, with an approximate value rating of 8 in 16 starts for the Packers, but he doesn’t have a year-over-year proven track record at the right tackle spot.
