Louisiana Tech

If Epps does wind up taking his talents to land with a Group of Five program, then joining the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs and head coach Skip Holtz in the Conference-USA could be a good move for all parties involved.

Louisiana Tech was definitely one of the more active C-USA programs in the transfer portal so far this offseason. Just like Oklahoma State and Georgia Tech did earlier in the offseason, the losses to the transfer portal at the skill positions were very notable thus far in Ruston.

They’ve lost two quarterbacks and two wide receivers to the portal so far this offseason, and they haven’t returned any depth by way of this method. The transfer portal was mostly a one-way street that caused depth losses on both sides of the ball for Louisiana Tech so far this offseason.

Louisiana Tech could use the addition of size to their receiving corps, who also loses the biggest piece of this position group from last year’s team. Senior standout wide receiver Adrian Hardy is headed out of the program this offseason, leaving a void of production that someone else will have to fill this year.

Landing with a Group of Five program can be a good move for a player like Epps that will be looking to make a bigger impact at his next destination. He would likely be able to compete for a significant starting role right away in Ruston.
