A busy offseason so far for new head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Texas football program on the recruiting trail and in the NCAA Transfer Portal has yielded some very promising results. Texas had an especially busy weekend, which led to a busy start to this week, both on the recruiting trail and in the transfer portal.

Last weekend as the spring football game was going down on the Forty Acres, Sark and the Longhorns got a huge commitment retroactively for their 2021 class in the former four-star Michigan Wolverines commit and Central East wide receiver Xavier Worthy. Texas also added a commitment to their 2022 class back on April 26 in four-star Brophy College Prep strong-side defensive end Zac Swanson.

Out of the transfer portal in the past seven days, Texas saw a ton of movement. They’ve lost the likes of redshirt sophomore tight end/wide receiver and former four-star recruit Malcolm Epps to the transfer portal, and sophomore wide receiver Kennedy Lewis is no longer with the team.

Current and future additions out of the portal for Texas football

The additions out of the portal that the Longhorns got since the weekend were plenty. Texas confirmed the commitment of the former Alabama Crimson Tide senior linebacker Ben Davis and they outright landed former standout redshirt sophomore New Mexico State Aggies linebacker and Freshman All-American Devin Richardson.

There are a plethora of transfer portal additions for the Longhorns this offseason, especially on the defensive side of the ball. But more additions out of the portal could be on the way for the Longhorns, with the rival Texas A&M Aggies being a potential source to draw from in the near future.

With that in mind, here’s a look into three Texas A&M transfers that Texas could get out of the portal this offseason.
