Official visit season begins next month and the 2022 Texas football recruiting class is prepared to host a plethora of key targets on campus. Texas is set to host a few dozen of their big targets for both the 2022 and 2023 recruiting classes in June once official visit season comes back for the first time in more than a full calendar year.

But a lot of the focus at the moment is placed on what targets Sark and the Longhorns can continue to win over in their 2022 class. Texas got a huge spark on the recruiting trail for their 2022 class out of the gates in the couple of months after Sark was hired as head coach. but those results have largely slowed in the last month and a half.

The first weekend that Texas will host visitors from the 2022 recruiting cycle is on June 4. That is just roughly a week and a half from now. There are set to be at least four or five prospects on official visits that first weekend that are targets of the 2022 class.

Realistic potential commitments among visiting prospects of the 2022 Texas football recruiting class

Texas currently holds eight commits in their 2022 class. And it’s not likely to be until the official visit season concludes next month that most of the top targets of the Longhorns 2022 class will even think about announcing a decision.

Still, there are leading indicators of who Texas could close on for commitments in the 2022 class. Texas could be on the verge of something special for their 2022 class, but they have to get visits right.

Here’s a look into four prospects that the Longhorns could land after the official visit season for their 2022 class this summer.
