Aaron Bryant, DT

One of the more versatile and underrated defensive linemen to watch that Texas has offered as a target of their 2022 class is the sizable 6-foot-4 and 305 pound Southaven defensive tackle Aaron Bryant. As somewhat who could play in two different spots along the defensive line for assistants Bo Davis, Jeff Choate, and Kwiatkowski, he is a really appealing target for Texas.

The writing does look to be on the wall that the Longhorns are currently losing the battle among the frontrunners to land a commitment from Bryant. But Texas does still have a big official visit scheduled with Bryant for June 25, which will be a big opportunity to win him over from competing schools like the Ole Miss Rebels, Texas A&M Aggies, and Alabama, among others.

The two other schools that currently have official visits scheduled with Bryant are the Georgia Bulldogs (June 4) and Texas A&M (June 18). It is also likely that Bryant will take other unofficial visits in the next two months as he tries to narrow down his top schools for his commitment decision when it’s all said and done.

Texas currently has new safeties coach Blake Gideon and Davis as the primary recruiters pursuing Bryant. They are going after the nation’s No. 436 2022 high school prospect, No. 69 defensive lineman, and the No. 12 prospect out of Mississippi (247Sports Composite). And the Top247 ranks him as the No. 54 defensive lineman and No. 17 prospect out of Mississippi.
