What could potentially be the biggest set of weekend visits has arrived for new head coach Steve Sarkisian. Key targets of the 2022 and 2023 Texas football recruiting classes have mostly already arrived on campus for official and unofficial visits scheduled for this weekend. All of the 2023 targets that are on campus in Austin this weekend are here for unofficial visits.

Most of the 2022 visitors this weekend for Sark and the Longhorns are here for official visits, but not all of them.

All told, Texas has more than 20 visitors set to be on the Forty Acres this weekend for official and unofficial visits. That is likely to be more than twice as many visitors compared to what Texas had on campus last weekend, in the first set of visits for the month of June.

This month in general is huge for the Longhorns since it is the first set of in-person visitors on campus since the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic. For that reason, this part of the official visit season during the offseason calendar is more important than really ever before.

A good number of these 2023 high school prospects are going through their first major set of visits to the campus of schools they like. And a lot of the 2022 prospects are getting their most impactful round of in-person visits in before they announce their decisions later in the year.

In the second of four big-time visit weekends this month for the Longhorns, there could soon be some movement on the recruiting trail in terms of additions for the 2022 and 2023 classes. Here’s a look into three potential commits that Sark and the Longhorns could get in the wake of the second weekend of visits in Austin.
