Although it won’t come with the significance of the visitors that were on campus last weekend, the 2022 and 2023 Texas football recruiting classes will still host a good bit of big-time prospects this coming weekend. Texas had their big visit weekend for all of the unofficial 2023 visitors, and quite a few significant unofficial and official 2022 visitors.

New head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns are still set to host well over a dozen official and unofficial visitors this weekend on the Forty Acres. Most of the more significant prospects on campus this weekend, though, are from the 2022 class. Texas still needs to hit right on a lot of these visiting 2022 prospects this weekend.

Emphasis turns to five-star visitors for Texas football this weekend

The theme of the weekend from June 18-20 will be on a handful of critical visiting five-star prospects from the 2022 recruiting cycle. Texas will have some blue-chips on campus from the 2022 and 2023 recruiting cycles both, but the emphasis is on the former of those two this weekend.

Last weekend, big names among 2022 visitors included the likes of the eventual three-star Liberty (NV) athlete commit Anthony Jones and the elite five-star Cy Park (TX) linebacker Harold Perkins. Texas will be hosting even more significant five-star prospects to watch that Sark can hopefully impress this weekend.

It feels like Texas had a successful month of visits in June thus far. But we are only a little more than halfway done with this process. This weekend will be significant for results on the recruiting trail for the Longhorns 2022 class in the near term.

Here’s a look into three crucial five-star visiting prospects to impress this weekend for Texas.
