Denver Harris, CB

At this point of his recruitment, it does appear that one of the top cornerback prospects in the entire country for the 2022 cycle, five-star North Shore product Denver Harris, is down to about three or four schools. Harris has three official visits on the books for this month. Those three come with Texas (June 18), Alabama (June 25), and LSU (June 11).

Last weekend, head coach Ed Orgeron and longtime secondary coach Corey Raymond hosted a key official visit with Harris. LSU has made some headway it appears of late with Harris, which is a notable storyline to watch on the recruiting trail moving forward for Longhorns fans.

Former Texas cornerbacks coach, now on the Alabama staff, Jay Valai, and the Crimson Tide are set to host an official visit in the final weekend of this month with Harris. Alabama does look like a potential competitor to worry about in the race to land a commitment from Harris.

Texas does look to be in a good position at the moment with their pursuit of Harris. New cornerbacks coach Terry Joseph and Banks are the primary recruiters after Harris. It’s hard to tell really at any point in time what the status of Harris is since he’s one of the more under-the-radar prospects in terms of social media and online media communication.

All three of the prospects on this list could help to make or break the Longhorns 2022 class. All three are ranked inside the top 35 high school prospects in the nation for the 2022 cycle. Harris is also the highest-rated of the three, as the No. 8 prospect nationally, No. 3 cornerback, and No. 2 prospect out of Texas (247Sports Composite).
