In the final weekend of official and unofficial visits for the next few weeks for the Texas football program and new head coach Steve Sarkisian, hitting on the last of the key targets on campus for a while is key. Texas looked to have done well in the month that saw the resumption of official and unofficial visits on campus around the college football recruiting landscape.

A lot of the volatility that was expected to hit Sark and the Longhorns following yet another change in coaching regime wound up transpiring this month too. Texas is now up to a couple of key decommits in their 2022 and 2023 classes among five-star skill position prospects.

Those two decommits among five-star skill position prospects included El Campo running back Rueben Owens and Frisco-Liberty wide receiver Evan Stewart.

More noise expecting soon on the recruiting trail for Texas football?

Texas could bounce back nicely on the recruiting trail if they close out this month on a high note with the last remnants of official and unofficial visitors. A few of those key visitors for the Longhorns in this final weekend of the month of June also include commits to other schools. That has been the case for most of the weekends this month, though, in terms of hosting prospects committed elsewhere.

Is that something that could amount to Sark and the Longhorns flipping anyone to join their 2022 class? Only time will tell heading into the rest of the summer months.

But here’s a look into three prospects committed elsewhere that have leading indicators that Sark could flip to the Longhorns 2022 class.
