Texas Basketball: 3 former LSU Tigers to get out of the portal
Josh LeBlanc, F
The final name up on this list might be one of the more intriguing in the transfer portal at the moment. And the junior former Tigers and Georgetown Hoyas 6-foot-7 and 230-pound forward Josh LeBlanc is a name to watch for a lot of better programs around the college hoops landscape this offseason since he would be a seamless forward depth addition for most.
LeBlanc started out his college career with Georgetown playing in the Big East. But after two seasons playing for Georgetown, LeBlanc wound up putting his name in the transfer portal for the first time in his career and landed with LSU. And then he only played with the Tigers for 25 games over the course of one season before putting his name in the portal for a second time.
But it’s not all that uncommon in the modern-day for upperclassmen in college hoops to transfer once or twice in their career before it comes to an end for them. That looks like it could be the case for LeBlanc. He was very serviceable for the Hoyas and Tigers over the course of three seasons (granted his 2019-20 campaign was shortened to just six games).
LeBlanc would be a nice addition for the Longhorns more in the sense of his ability to make an instant impact as a reserve forward. But the main problem for the Longhorns would be with the fact that they’ve already landed a good number of commitments out of the portal at the three or the four this offseason, including Christian Bishop and Timmy Allen, among others.
