Texas Football: 3 2022 commits that are likely to come in July
Bryce Anderson, S
At this point, it’s really hard to tell how the battle is panning out between the likes of the Longhorns and rival Texas A&M Aggies in the race to land a commitment from the four-star West Brook (TX) safety Bryce Anderson. Sark and Texas A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher are both pouring in a lot of resources to try and win over the commitment of Anderson this offseason.
It still appears that a decision date for Anderson this month could be very possible. But that also hinges on what happens with the end-of-month visits that he has planned with the Lone Star Showdown rival schools.
Both the June 4 official visit with Texas A&M and June 25 official visit with Texas looked to be hits with Anderson. That looked good enough for the blue-chip safety to eliminate the likes of the Alabama Crimson Tide and LSU Tigers from his decision.
Anderson was once an LSU commit, just like current four-star Texas safety commit and Aledo product Bryan Allen Jr.
But Anderson has his recruitment open since about late January. Texas looked to be the frontrunner to land his commitment, and that could still be true. But there’s still plenty of room for both Texas and Texas A&M to make some headway with Anderson once the dead period lifts later this month.
Watch out for the decision date of Anderson to be announced in the coming weeks, with a ton of anticipation from the Longhorns faithful.
