Big 12 Media Days took center stage this week for the Texas football program and new head coach Steve Sarkisian. As Texas looks to prepare for what lies ahead in fall camp in the coming weeks and months, Sark will hit the media spotlight with big expectations ahead of the 2021 season.

Sark and the Longhorns had some big names representing the program at Big 12 Media Days this week. And Texas is set to have all of the representatives of the program take the stage on July 15. It is namely Sark and star sophomore running back Bijan Robinson that will get the spotlight for Texas at Big 12 Media Days this week.

Moreover, before he took center stage in his press conference with all of the Big 12 media, Sark took some questions from some rather young journalists/reporters. Sark was spotted taking questions from two “young journalists” that also reportedly asked him about his “favorite flavor of ice cream”.

To that question, Sark responded that his favorite flavor of ice cream is “swirl”.

All in all, it is nice to see the Longhorns new head coach Sark having some fun at Big 12 Media Days. That could lighten the mood on what will otherwise be a very attention-filled process for anyone representing the Longhorns at Big 12 Media Days.

Sark is set to take questions from the media in Arlington, TX, on the afternoon of July 15. Texas is one of the final programs in the Big 12 to take questions from the media at the festivities in Arlington this week.

Texas took the stage at Big 12 Media Days following the Oklahoma State Cowboys representatives. And Texas is also set to have redshirt junior defensive tackle Keondre Coburn as one of the three main representatives alongside Bijan and Sark.

Sark and the Longhorns are set to open up the 2021 regular season on Sep. 4 at home at DKR against Louisiana. Expectations will be high once again for Texas this fall following a 2020 campaign where they finished up with a record of 7-3 (5-3 Big 12) under the direction of former head coach Tom Herman.
