Most people that wanted to learn about what Sark could bring to the table for this Longhorns’ offense would go and watch the tape for Alabama’s offense last season led by the Heisman finalist and star quarterback Mac Jones. No one really thought that Jones was going to come out and put up the type of numbers that he did last season.

But that’s just what the likes of Sark and legendary head coach Nick Saban were able to do with skill position players consistently in Tuscaloosa. Saban has clearly done it for a lot longer, though.

Nonetheless, Jones was one of the most impressive quarterbacks in the entire country last year. And he really isn’t the same type of quarterback that was a highly-touted blue-chip recruit with some athleticism at least like the rest on this list. That made the job of Sark as the Alabama offensive coordinator scheming up Jones all the more impressive.

Jones registered 4,500 passing yards, a whopping 12.8 adjusted yards per passing attempt, 41 passing touchdowns, and just four interceptions. He might’ve won the Heisman Trophy if not for it going to superstar Alabama wide receiver DeVonta Smith instead. Last season, Smith wound up registering 1,856 receiving yards, 15.9 yards per catch, and 23 touchdown catches.
