Looking at the Big 12 football conference, and what’s remaining among the eight schools, there’s not anything that really sticks out to other power conferences as to what to pick off in this round of realignment. This round of conference realignment, in general, was kicked off by the likes of the Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners leaving the Big 12 for the SEC.

This all happened very fast too, as Texas and Oklahoma bolted from the Big 12 for the SEC in a matter of just days. Granted, this move for Texas and Oklahoma sounded like it was months, if not years, in the making prior to the knowledge going public last week.

This leaves eight programs in the Big 12 remaining for another major potential round of conference realignment. It seems like there is an infinite number of possibilities for what could happen in the next round of conference realignment too.

Which Big 12 football programs that remain are the least appealing?

Once one of the eight remaining Big 12 programs leaves for another conference, that could set off a domino effect for the rest to scatter. But some of the remaining schools are going to be more appealing than others for the other power conferences that also try to expand.

The Big Ten and PAC-12 are almost surely looking to expand. And even the ACC could try and get in on the action if there are any candidates appealing enough to add to the mix.

But which of the remaining Big 12 schools are going to have the toughest time potentially finding a home next? Here’s a look into three of the least appealing Big 12 programs for football in this round of conference realignment.
