With the move looking to go through officially very soon, it looks like the Texas football program (among other sports) and Oklahoma Sooners will still be a part of the SEC. We might be looking at a situation where Texas and Oklahoma are only bound to play one more season in the Big 12 before the move to compete in the SEC in all sports.

Texas and Oklahoma could make the move to the SEC as soon as 2022, it we could have to wait until 2025 in a worst case scenario. It is likely, though, that these two schools will be in the SEC closer to the former of those options.

Given how fast this process moved thus far for the Longhorns and Sooners, it seems like the SEC is going to try to get this done as fast as possible. That would be the most advantageous move it seems for all sides involved. And the excitement is already starting to build for the time when the Longhorns and Sooners will actually be playing games in the SEC.

We do know that there will be teams both from the Big 12 and SEC that aren’t thrilled by this move from Texas and Oklahoma. For the Big 12, this move could lead to the eventually collapse of the conference. And for the SEC, some teams that were already struggling to compete for conference titles could now be finding themselves in an even tougher spot.

Here’s a look into three SEC schools that could be fearful of what’s to come once the Longhorns and Sooners are playing in the league.
